Dr. Silva can treat patients having pain, an abscessed tooth, a deep cavity, trauma or fracture of the tooth with a root canal. A root canal is a treatment of the pulp of the tooth, which is the soft center of the tooth, that consists of nerves, tissue, and blood vessels.
There are several reasons why a patient may come and see us needing root canal treatment.
A root canal is a great option for most patients because it can save your tooth. Our treatment begins with the removal of the pulp and the chamber and canals are then filled and sealed so that infection or bacteria can’t enter.
The root canal treatment is generally not as painful as you might think. Our procedure, like others, can reduce the amount of pain almost immediately after the root canal treatment has ended and the anesthesia subsides. In most cases, a simple over-the-counter pain medication can help if the patient still has some pain and soreness.
If you are currently experiencing any pain in a tooth we encourage you to contact our office immediately either by phone or by clicking here.
