Similar to veneers except that they may cover all or most of the tooth, dental crowns are restorative. A crown fixes teeth that are badly damaged, have large cavities, or have undergone root canal therapy. Crowns are also used to strengthen weakened teeth. Porcelain crowns are most common, but they can be constructed from many materials. We are here to discuss these options with you and determine the best material for your particular situation. We are also one of the few dentists in Austin that feature crown making technology using the Digital E4D CadCam which allows us to provide bioceramic same day crowns. Whichever we decide, a crown can help restore the look, strength, and bite function of natural teeth.
Similar to crowns, bridges are used to replace a series of missing teeth. Most often made of porcelain or porcelain fused to gold, bridges are made to ‘bridge the gap’ created by missing teeth. Bridges, like crowns, can restore natural beauty and function to your smile.
There are three types of bridges:
Cost varies depending on the type of bridge selected.
